EL PROJECTE

Les peces provenen d’un espai abandonat emprat com a abocador il·legal, en el terme municipal de Martorell prop del conjunt urbanístic Colònia Can Bros (41°30'01.0"N 1°54'59.5"E).

L’objectiu d’aquest projecte és convertir aquests residus en objectes artístics sense cap tipus de manipulació. Aquesta resignificació, ens permet la producció d’objectes artístics amb cost zero per al medi ambient, alliberant així, un abocador il·legal d’alguns dels seus residus. Concedint valor estètic i artístic a aquests residus evitem els seus dos possibles (contaminants) futurs per a:

· Continuar en l’abocador, contaminant la zona.
· Ser reciclat, amb la contaminació associada al reciclatge de plàstics ja sigui mitjançant el reciclatge mecànic, químic o de recuperació energètica.

Resignificant-los com a objectes amb valor estètic, convertint-se en objectes els quals preservar i contemplar, evitem la contaminació potencial d’aquests residus. És aquí on apareix el paper del firmant del contracte ja que a l’adquirir una d’aquestes peces completa el procés de resignificació.

CONDICIONS

· Les peces són gratuïtes però només es pot adquirir una per persona.

· En el cas de que les peces hagin de ser enviades, els costos d’enviament seran abonats per la persona que sol·licita l’adquisició de la peça.

· Aquestes peces mai poden ser considerades residu i ser llençades després de la seva adquisició. En el cas de que la persona que l´hagi adquirit vulgui desfer-se’n, haurà de posar-se en contacte amb l’equip del projecte a partir de l’adreça electrònica que es troba a la pàgina 1.

· En cas de futures exposicions del projecte, l’equip es posarà en contacte amb els adquisitius per tal de cedir les peces adquirides per a la seva exposició, corrent a càrrec de l’organització de l’exposició el cost del transport d’aquestes.

· Les peces no poden ser venudes. En cas de voler cedir gratuïtament una peça adquirida a una altre persona, s’haurà d’informar a l’equip del projecte i la persona a qui es cedeixi la peça haurà de firmar aquest document.

Per mitjà d’aquest contracte, s’efectuarà l’entrega d’una de les peces que formen part del projecte artístic de Silvia Arenas i Guillem S. Arquer i de la pròpia participació en aquest. Aquesta participació (l’adquisició de les peces) de persones externes a les del projecte, ve donada per la naturalesa d’aquest, ja que no és complert sense aquesta participació.

PROJECT

The pieces come from an abandoned space used as an illegal landfill in Martorell (Barcelona) near the urban set called Colònia Can Bros (41°30'01.0"N 1°54'59.5"E).

The goal of this Project is to turn residues into artistic objects without any manipulation. This resignification lets us produce artistic objects with zero cost for the environment and also free an illegal landfill from some of its residues. By attributing aesthetic and artistic value to this waste, we avoid its two possible polluting futures:

· To stay in the landfill, polluting the area.
· To be recycled with the associated pollution to the process of plastic recycling (mechanic, chemical or energy recovery).

Resignifying them as objects with aesthetic value, being turned into objects to preserve and stare, we avoid the potential pollution of this residues. At this point is when the role of the signatory appears and completes the process of resignification by acquiring one of the pieces.

CONDITIONS

· The pieces are free but each person can only acquire one of them.

· If the piece has to be sent, the signatory will have to pay the transport costs.

· Due to the goal of the project, this pieces cannot be thrown away. The signatory will have to contact the crew of the project if she/he wants to get rid of it.

· The crew of the project can ask the signatory to temporary transfer the acquired piece in order to show it in an exhibition. In that case, the organisation of the exhibition will pay the transport costs.

· The pieces cannot be sold. If the signatory wants to freely give the piece to somebody, this transaction will have to be informed to the crew of the project. In order to be the new owner of the piece, the person will have to sign this same contract.

By this contract, one of the pieces of the project by Silvia Arenas & Guillem S. Arquer will be delivered to the signatory. By the conception of the project, the acquisition of one of the pieces means collaborating with the project.
